What is Diwali?

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, Celebrated by members of the Indian community and people around the world.

This multi-day festival spans several days before and after the official Diwali date, symbolizing the spiritual triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.

People of all ages, from diverse backgrounds come together for prayer, celebration and activities including lighting flame lamps, presenting a grand annakut or food display to God, and enjoying a Diwali Cultural Program featuring Music, Dance, Lights, and Fireworks.

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir invites you, your friends and family to celebrate the Festival of Lights with us this season!

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by members of the Hindu, Sikh, and Jain faiths. Diwali is a multi day festival and the celebrations and festivities span multiple days before and after the official date of Diwali. It is a time of renewal and signifies the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance within. Activities include the festival of lights and the lighting of flame lamps, a grand annakut or food display offered to God, people from all walks of life praying and celebrating together, and a Diwali Light and Sound show enjoyed by people of all ages that truly brings the entire community together.

Parking on campus is limited and availability will be determined on a priority basis, with priority given to those who arrive earlier. Once the parking lots are full, we will be unable to accommodate additional vehicles entering the campus, except in cases of drop-off.
Off-site parking is located at:
Lions Club Park
5500 Rockbridge Cir NW
Lilburn, GA 30047
Shuttle service to and from off-site parking will be provided. Shuttles from off-site parking will end at 7:30 PM.
On Sunday, November 12, please proceed directly to off-site parking if you plan to arrive after 5:30 PM.
**There will be NO offsite parking on Saturday, November 11
